Ok. I just posted my first-ever comic on le Hõm Pãj:
Is this even the slightest bit amusing to anybody else but me?
I wonder.
As I was posing this question to Ron (of the Hill People) a moment ago, I momentarily entertained a defensive mentality and thought “Well, if they think that they can do better…” and there it was; “let them”. Why not? I suggested as much to Ron and he agreed, so here it goes:
The Offer

Send us your comic via email (Roberto Flores where are you!). If we like it, we’ll put it in rotation on the Home Page, with a link (separate window of course - we’re dedicated capitalists here y’know 
) to the destination of your choice, as long as that destination is not something, y’know, Bad* (or unsavory).

The comic can be of any artistic ability level (stick figures can be very effective if used thoughtfully). I think the selection process will hinge the most on the amount of thought and effort that it reflects. I could be simple shapes made in MS Paint; if it’s relatively original and amusing, we’ll use it. Another way to look at it: we’re not likely to put something on our beloved Home Page that looks like cheap junk (except the cheap junk that we come up with, of course).
The comic needs to be 300 pixels wide by 250 pixels tall to fit precisely where it needs to go. If you have any difficulty with this, you can probably get plenty of help on this thread of the message board.
Use of the comic on our Home Page must not break anybodies copyright laws. If any material you use is not copyright by you, then you must have permission to use it, and by extension, we must have permission to use it.
We make no copyright claim on the comic. You retain any copyright that you are entitled to, and by sending it to us, are giving us permission to display it on the Home Page and only on the Home Page.
Multiple submissions are welcome. If we see any changes that could be made that would make the difference between a comic getting on the page and not, we may even let you know!

* Bad as in something I wouldn’t necessarily have my young children looking at. Plugging a product = Not Bad (dedicated capitalists remember). Vicious Competitor to Ron’s Parts Business = Not Sure. I will have to consult the Hill People on that one. If you are a Vicious Competitor of Ron’s and you send in a really amusing/funny/cool comic, and it never shows up, then I guess you will have your answer
